Letter from the Chairman of the Department of Surgery

Welcome to the Surgical Residency Program at the Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.  We have been training surgical residents since 1933.  Over this extensive period our curriculum has continually evolved to develop the necessary knowledge base, clinical judgment and technical skills required of a modern surgeon.

The broad base of clinical and operative experiences is enhanced by a leading edge surgical robotic program and a mentored surgical research experience.  We strive to ensure that every graduating chief resident has complete competency in every surgical facet necessary for a successcul life-long practice.
